When we met with Tom to discuss his ideas for his plumber web design, he told us about his work van. Now when you think of a work van you’ll probably think of something like a transit, well not so with Tom! His work van is a classic Morris Minor van, which gave us the idea of styling his website with a 1950’s retro theme. Tom also impressed upon us his belief in old school work values of honesty and customer satisfaction which go hand in hand with the British vintage theme we had in mind.
We encouraged Tom to get a professional photo shoot done with himself and his apprentice Luke dressed in their overalls with their Morris Minor van. The resulting photo was used as the centre piece for the home page and a logo and retro plumber web design was created to compliment.
Tom’s site has been built using the WordPress content management system which allows Tom to login and make changes and add new client testimonials. The site also features a responsive template which means the visitors to his site using tablets or mobiles get a better experience.
Tom mostly works with customers in Richmond, so the site was optimised to rank well for people searching for his services in the Richmond area and is currently climbing its way up the Google search results.
What We Did
The plumber web design was designed in a 1950’s British vintage style to work with Tom’s Morris Minor van and his old school work values of honesty and customer satisfaction.
This site was built using the popular WordPress content management system, giving the client the ability to update and add content.
Search Engine Optimisation
We optimised the Tom Plumb website to rank for ‘plumber richmond’. Thanks to the work we did the site is currently ranking on first page of the Google search results in the third position for this search term.
Drag & Drop Page Builder
We included the industry leading drag & drop page builder which allows the client to quickly update the pages on their website and also build new professional looking pages with very little technical knowledge required.
Mobile Responsive Design
A mobile responsive design was used to allow the new site to be easily navigated and browsed on mobile, tablets and desktops.
Google Analytics tracking was setup to allow the client to analyse the visitor activity on their site. They can see detailed information including how many people have visited the site, where they are visiting from and what keywords they typed into Google to find their website.
What the client said
“My customers were badgering me to get my website redone and I found Indigo Marmoset who took inspiration from our unique style & classic work van to design a fun, retro-look website that much better suits my personality & business. It works well on mobiles and tablets, plus I can edit the content myself!”Tom Hilditch
