Richard James Wooden Floors had a website they had put together a while back using Wix but struggled to get the site how they wanted and needed something that better represented their growing business.
Getting the text professionally copywritten was the first port of call, then we created a responsive WordPress site, taking visual cues from the style of the logo.
A portfolio system was added that makes it easy for Richard to add projects as they complete them.
An SEO campaign was used to get the site ranking for the highly competitive search term ‘laminate flooring fitter london’. The site now ranks on the first page of Google for people searching for this service.

This site was built using our Budget Beaver web design package and included some of our extra bolt-ons such as professional copywriting and an SEO campaign to drive traffic to the site.
Design
A modern, clean, responsive one page website design was created with soft-scroll navigation to move down to the different sections.
Professional Copywriter
Wooden Floors themselves aren’t what I focused on selling here – it was the dream. The dream of luxury underfoot and a classy, professional finish that would complete the customer’s vision of their ideal home. For anyone refurbishing a room or house, professional workmanship, great service and a stunning final result are key priorities. So the copy was focused on lots of positive, aspirational phrases and a stand out headline ‘walking on air’ conveying the double meaning of high quality floors and how pleased the customer will be with the work.
WordPress
This site was built using the popular WordPress content management system, giving the client the ability to update and add content.
Search Engine Optimisation
We did on-page optimisation for ‘Laminate flooring fitters London’ & are waiting to see where it settles in the search results
Drag & Drop Page Builder
We included the industry leading drag & drop page builder which allows the client to quickly update the pages on their website and also build new professional looking pages with very little technical knowledge required.
Mobile Responsive Design
A mobile responsive design was used to allow the new site to be easily navigated and browsed on mobile, tablets and desktops.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics tracking was setup to allow the client to analyse the visitor activity on their site. They can see detailed information including how many people have visited the site, where they are visiting from and what keywords they typed into Google to find their website.
